Spray foam Insulation Contractor is a liquid that expands as it’s applied, making it easier to reach tight spaces and conform to complicated structures. It can be sprayed on attics, crawl spaces, and rim joist in an existing home; unfinished basements and pole barns; and new construction. It can also be used to insulate concrete block walls, which are typically difficult to insulate with traditional batt insulation.
It’s an ideal insulator because it resists conduction (heat transfer) and convection (air flow), keeping your warm home warm in the winter, and your cool home cool in the summer. Spray foam has a higher R-value than fiberglass batt insulation, meaning it insulates your home better per board foot.
316 Insulation: Your Trusted Partner for Spray Foam Insulation
Before spraying, the crew will prep the area by removing any loose or hanging items and cleaning the surface to be sprayed. Then, they’ll run a hose from the truck-mounted rig to the attic, crawl space, or rim joist in an existing home; to unfinished basements and pole barns; or to concrete block walls in new construction. The rig contains advanced technology that ensures the liquid is mixed perfectly, resulting in consistent and high-quality foam every time.
During and after application, the foam releases volatile organic compounds (VOCs), which pose a health risk to installers and future occupants. To mitigate this risk, proper ventilation is required during application and curing.
